Hot chicken pie with feta cheese, kale and paprika - Wine and food match

Deliciously hot chicken pie with kale, paprika, feta cheese and chili. A very simple, tasty and warming dinner. Replace the vegetables in the recipe with what is in the fridge, and suddenly you have a super tasty fridge cleaner that also fits perfectly in the lunch box. Quite simply, a lovely and tasty feast on the plate.

  1. Preheat the oven according to the instructions on the pie dough package.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and fry until soft.
  3. Cut the chicken into smaller pieces and brown them until they are cooked through.
  4. Cut up the kale peppers and chilies. Add to the pan and cook until the kale softens and reduces in volume. Season with salt and black pepper.
  5. Pour over lemon juice and mix well. Remove from heat.
  6. In a bowl, mix milk, egg and wheat flour. Season with salt, pepper and thyme to taste.
  7. Roll out the pie dough over a pie tin. Add the chicken mixture and spread evenly.
  8. Then pour over the beaten egg. Finish by crumbling over the feta cheese, and stir gently so that some of the cheese ends up in the pie.
  9. Bake in the oven according to the pie dough package directions or until the pie is golden brown and cooked through.
  10. Serve your chicken pie warm with a healthy green salad. Yum!

1 package of ready-made pie dough
2 chicken breasts
1 Capsicum
200g kale
1 red chilli
1 lemon
1 yellow onion
2 garlic cloves
100g feta cheese
200mls milk
3 eggs
Olive oil
Thyme
Salt and pepper
