Saint Clair Family Estate is celebrating their outstanding achievement at the Decanter World Wine Awards. It has been announced that their flagship wine, the Saint Clair Wairau Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2014, has been awarded the trophy for the best New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc over £15.
The Saint Clair Wairau Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2014 was judged by the world’s best wine professionals in what is known as the most comprehensive and authoritative wine competition in the world. This wine, of uncompromising quality, has been found to be the best example of Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand.
This is not the first time that Saint Clair has achieved such an accolade in this world recognised wine competition. Saint Clair Wairau Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2003, 2004 and 2011 vintages have all received the best New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc over £15 trophy.
Accumulation of trophies for this wine from Decanter World Wine Awards combined with consistent show success across a range of international wine shows has assisted it in becoming iconic in many of its world markets.
Saint Clair Family Estate director Neal Ibbotson comments; “we feel incredibly proud that our wines are consistently rewarded for their level of quality. Our open-minded approach to excellence both in the vineyard, the winery and across all facets of the business is imperative to achieving this.”
The award success is the result of dedication and upmost professionalism of the entire Saint Clair team – a tribute to the family owned Marlborough winery
