Cellar Door Host (fixed-term)
Are you passionate about wine and delivering exceptional customer service? Saint Clair Vineyard Kitchen, a family-owned winery and cellar door restaurant in the heart of Marlborough, is seeking a dedicated Cellar Door Host to join the team.
This is a fixed-term position starting in September until May 2025. You’ll be working full-time hours, Wednesday to Sunday each week.
We’ll also be hiring additional fixed-term Cellar Door and Front of House team members for the summer season, starting in late October/November. If that timing suits you better, we’d love to hear from you!
What we’re looking for:
- Hospitality experience, preferably with wine knowledge (training on Saint Clair wines will be provided)
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering an outstanding guest experience
- Great presentation, a sense of humour and a proactive, welcoming personality
- Ability to excel throughout the busy summer season, as part of a fun, international team
- Availability to work 5 days per week, including weekends and some public holidays
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting wine tastings for both small and large groups
- Processing sales and ensuring the cellar door remains well-stocked
- Assisting with front-of-house service in the restaurant
