The Vineyard Kitchen is very busy over summer months. Booking essential (for both lunch and wine tastings) if wanting to visit between 12 and 2pm and highly recommended outside of this time. Come and visit Saint Clair Family Estate Vineyard Kitchen to relax, sit back and enjoy the Marlborough experience.

Our family friendly and fun establishment is situated within a unique vineyard setting with views extending past the vines towards the ever changing and dramatic Richmond Range.

The sunny courtyard offers outdoor dining with some dining options amongst the vines. On a cooler day an extended veranda section can ensure customers continue to have the vineyard feel while being sheltered from the elements through extensive floor to ceiling glass sliding doors. A cosy fire provides ambience and warmth during the New Zealand winter, an ideal setting to relax and enjoy some of Saint Clair’s award-winning wines.

The extensive lunch menu constantly changes, reflecting some of the best seasonal produce and finest delicacies Marlborough has to offer. There are a range of options available to meet any dietary requirements.

Wine tastings are available with different hosted options as well as a tasting flight option. A perfect opportunity to discover the diversity of Saint Clair, with a large selection of award-winning wines available daily.

The constantly changing menu reflects some of the best seasonal produce Marlborough has to offer.

We offer an extensive range of craft beers from Kiwi breweries including Garage Project, Mcleod’s and Renaissance. We also offer an array of low and no alcoholic beverages such as Seedlip Gin, Sawmill Bare Beer and Foxton Fizz.

Friendly Faces at the Vineyard Kitchen

Ashley de Castro

Ashley de Castro has been the Restaurant and Cellar Door Manager since April 2019. Ashley has extensive experience in hospitality, having worked in the industry since the age of 20, he has a bright smile and friendly face whenever you walk into our Saint Clair restaurant. Ashley is your contact for any function, group booking or cellar door inquiry. You may see Ashley involved outside of work with local theatre and performing arts. Saint Clair was proud to support Ashley with his portrayal of Thenardier in Blenheim Music theatre’s production of Les Misérables in 2022.

David Haase

David is our Head Chef at the Saint Clair Vineyard Kitchen, he is the driver and inspiration behind our delicious seasonal menus. David started his three-year apprenticeship to become a qualified chef back in Germany in 1992, at the young age of 17. Since then, he has worked in multiple kitchens gaining vast experience in Michelin starred restaurants and fine dining establishments. Since moving to New Zealand in 2009, David continued as a chef for many years before joining the Saint Clair Family in 2019.
