Announcement last night of another trophy win adds to the ever growing list, but this time a first for Saint Clair. The Saint Clair Marlborough Premium Pinot Gris Rosé 2015 has been awarded the trophy for the champion Rose at the Marlborough Wine Show.

A total of four gold medals were awarded to the following Saint Clair wines;
GOLD – Saint Clair Wairau Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2015
GOLD – Saint Clair Pioneer Block 10 Twin Hills Pinot Noir 2014
GOLD – Saint Clair Pioneer Block 23 Master Block Pinot Noir 2012
GOLD – Saint Clair Marlborough Premium Pinot Gris Rosé 2015

These awards follows a stream of exceptional award success from prestigious international wine competitions.

The 6 Nations Wine Challenge is a challenge of the Nations with a battle amongst some of the most finest wine producers of the globe. This time it was Saint Clair’s flagship varietal to come out on top with the Saint Clair Pioneer Block 3 Sauvignon Blanc 2014 being awarded the Sauvignon Blanc Trophy with the Saint Clair Wairau Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2014 as second place in this category.

The Japan Wine Challenge 2015 announced the trophy for the Best New World White Wine & Trophy for Best of the Show. This went to Saint Clair Pioneer Block 11 Cell Block Chardonnay 2013.

The recent Bragato Wine Awards awarded a trophy to the Saint Clair Marlborough Premium Grüner Veltliner 2014. Other gold awards in this same show are as follows;
PURE GOLD – Saint Clair Pioneer Block 10 Twin Hills Chardonnay 2014
PURE GOLD  – Saint Clair Pioneer block 9 Big John Riesling 2013
PURE GOLD – Saint Clair Pioneer block 17 Plateau Syrah 2014

Neal Ibbotson, managing director comments; “most typically it is our Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir that receive these highly acclaimed trophies so receiving these other varietal trophies for Rosé, Chardonnay and Grüner Veltliner is a great thrill, as it illustrates Saint Clair can produce quality wine across a range of styles and varietals. These awards are attributable to the huge emphasis on quality that our team has across all aspects of our wine business.”

Ongoing award success is a reflection of uncompromising consistent quality from a leading New Zealand wine producer.
