Hot chicken pie with feta cheese, kale and paprika - Wine and food match
Deliciously hot chicken pie with kale, paprika, feta cheese and chili. A very simple, tasty and warming dinner. Replace the vegetables in the recipe with what is in the fridge, and suddenly you have a super tasty fridge cleaner that also fits perfectly in the lunch box. Quite simply, a lovely and tasty feast on the plate.
- Preheat the oven according to the instructions on the pie dough package.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and fry until soft.
- Cut the chicken into smaller pieces and brown them until they are cooked through.
- Cut up the kale peppers and chilies. Add to the pan and cook until the kale softens and reduces in volume. Season with salt and black pepper.
- Pour over lemon juice and mix well. Remove from heat.
- In a bowl, mix milk, egg and wheat flour. Season with salt, pepper and thyme to taste.
- Roll out the pie dough over a pie tin. Add the chicken mixture and spread evenly.
- Then pour over the beaten egg. Finish by crumbling over the feta cheese, and stir gently so that some of the cheese ends up in the pie.
- Bake in the oven according to the pie dough package directions or until the pie is golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve your chicken pie warm with a healthy green salad. Yum!
