Saint Clair Family Estate is very proud to announce success with winning two highly regarded trophies at the Royal Easter Show. Saint Clair Wairau Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2012 was awarded the Sauvignon Blanc Trophy and Saint Clair Godfrey’s Creek Reserve Gewürztraminer 2009 was awarded the Gewurztraminer Trophy.

Saint Clair Wairau Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2012 was awarded the Sauvignon Blanc Trophy and Saint Clair Godfrey’s Creek Reserve Gewürztraminer 2009 was awarded the Gewurztraminer Trophy.
Following the announcement of gold’s galore for Saint Clair earlier this month at the Royal Easter Show, trophy winners were awarded on Saturday night at the Jubilee Easter Show Wine Awards Dinner held at the Logan Campbell Centre.
Although Sauvignon Blanc is the flagship varietal at Saint Clair Family Estate and constantly wins international awards Neal Ibbotson comments; “it is always a thrill to see any of our quality wine recognised in wine shows where wines are tasted blind. Open minded viticulture plays a major role in the continued success. This combined with a strong team effort with a dedication to quality contribute greatly to Saint Clair success.”
The Gewürztraminer trophy is another outstanding success story for the family owned winery and this combined with a gold medal for Saint Clair Pioneer Block 5 Bull Block Pinot Gris 2012 illustrates quality across varietals.
The double trophy win certainly further cements the reputation of Saint Clair as a leading New Zealand wine producer.

The Easter Show Wine Awards is New Zealand’s longest running wine competition. With 1130 entries in the 2013 show, just over eight per cent were awarded the highly regarded gold medal status.
