The largest officially recognised wine competition in the world, the AWC Vienna International Wine Challenge, has awarded family owned Marlborough winery Saint Clair Family Estate the trophy for Best New Zealand Producer of the Year 2013, plus the trophy for best Sauvignon Blanc for Saint Clair Marlborough Premium Sauvignon Blanc 2012. This prestigious wine competition follows a stringent blind tasting protocol assessing wines from over 1700 producers across 37 nations.
