Saint Clair Family Estate are proud to have been the principal sponsor the Saint Clair Vineyard Half Marathon since its inception in 2016. The event takes place in May each year, starting and finishing at the Saint Clair Vineyard Kitchen on one of Saint Clair’s estate owned vineyards, it is one of the most unique, social and picturesque half marathons in New Zealand.
The 21.1km course winds through 22 vineyards where some of the world’s best Sauvignon Blanc is grown and produced. The vines put on a special display ablaze in their autumn colours, it really is a spectacular site.
With the reward of a celebratory ‘trophy’ bottle of Saint Clair wine at the finish line with every finishing competitor people go to great lengths to get there and achieve their personal goals. A relaxed festival atmosphere surrounds the finish line where supporters and participants linger, celebrating achievements and refuel on a variety of delectable foods and of course some of Saint Clair’s award-winning wine.
