Trophy and Triple Gold for Saint Clair Family Estate

The Royal Easter Show Wine Awards 2018 have announced their award winners and Saint Clair Family Estate is thrilled to receive the Champion Merlot Trophy for the Saint Clair Pioneer Block 17 Plateau Merlot 2016. Sourced from Saint Clair’s Gimblett Gravels, Hawke’s Bay vineyard, this wine is filled with dense aromas, concentrated flavours and a deep rich colour.

The annual Royal Easter Show Wine Awards is New Zealand’s oldest national wine competition. The trophy winners were announced at a prestigious dinner on Saturday night at the Pullman Auckland Hotel.

Along with the trophy, Saint Clair were also thrilled to receive three prestigious gold medals. Typically recognised for its world class Sauvignon Blanc, this time the family owned Marlborough winery were awarded gold for Chardonnay, Merlot and Pinot Noir.

The following wines achieved gold medal status;

GOLD – Saint Clair Omaka Reserve Chardonnay 2016
GOLD – Saint Clair Pioneer Block 17 Plateau Merlot 2016
GOLD – Saint Clair Marlborough Premium Pinot Noir 2016
