Winemaking:
At the winery each parcel of grapes was held in cold tank for five days prior to fermentation to enhance colour and flavour. The grapes were then inoculated with specially selected yeasts for fermentation and hand plunged several times daily for the duration of fermentation. When dry, the wine was pressed off the grape skins, settle and then racked off lees. A third of this blend was aged in seasoned French oak barriques. All parcels underwent malolactic fermentation to soften the acidity, before being assessed, blended, lightly filtered and gently prepared for bottling.
Viticulture:
Parcels of fruit were selected from our Southern Valleys and Awatere vineyards, two of our best Pinot Noir subregions, with unique but complementary flavours. Leading up to harvest each vineyard was closely monitored and tasted to determine when the flavours, sugars and acids were at their optimum, then harvested in the cool of the morning.

4.5 Stars - Wine Orbit: Sam Kim, 2023
"It's immediately appealing on the nose showing sweet plum, olive, roasted nut and warm spice aromas. The palate is equally charming with juicy fruit intensity together with smooth texture and well-rounded tannins, finishing silky and soothing."
