Saint Clair Family Estate Cellar Door and Café is a fabulous place to relax while sipping some of New Zealand’s finest wines, grazing on local fresh produce overlooking the vineyard with friends or family.
For Callie and Nic it is a place of significance. Callie and Nic met each other when they were introduced and set up on a blind date by two very close friends.
They are keen Saint Clair enthusiasts who both enjoy Saint Clair wine. They even both competed in the Saint Clair Vineyard Half Marathon last year. Saint Clair holds an extra special place in their hearts following a recent ‘lunch date’ at Saint Clair. They were on holiday camping in Picton when they had an opportunity to escape for some quiet couple time without the kids.
On this particular day they enjoyed a quiet lunch accompanied with a fine Saint Clair Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Following lunch they went for a stroll amongst the Chardonnay and to Callie’s surprise, Nic lowered down onto one knee to ask one of the most important questions of his life – “will you marry me”! Of course this is a happy story and Callie immediately said “yes”! They are both very much in love and happy.
Although there is no set date for the wedding, it is likely to happen next year and Saint Clair wine is sure to be on the menu! Thanks Callie and Nic for choosing Saint Clair as the destination of your special moment. We wish you all the happiness in the world over many years of marriage.
