 Saint Clair Family Estate held their inaugural Long Service Awards event on Friday evening 28 June in the private barrel room at the Marlborough Vintners Hotel. The night was a black tie affair with eighty Saint Clair staff, their partners and associates in attendance.

The purpose of the evening was to showcase and thank dedicated staff and associates for their longstanding commitment to the family owned Marlborough winery. Although the brand Saint Clair evolved in the early 90’s , some staff previously worked for managing director Neal Ibbotson when he and wife Judy were pioneering grape growers of Marlborough.

The longest standing employee, Liz Chapman – Saint Clair Production Manager, received an award for an amazing 27 years of service. Other long service awards were given to winemakers, Matt Thomson, Hamish Clark and Stewart Maclennan who each have had involvement in Saint Clair for over 10 years.

The following people were recipients of a long service award;
Liz Chapman – Production Manager
Matt Thomson – Consultant Winemaker
Les and Sonya Masters – Vineyard Contract Managers
Hamish Clark – Senior Winemaker
Nikki de Reeper – Office Manager
Sarah Lissaman – Export Manger
Chris Hammond – Cellar Door and Café Manager
Kay Wilson Cellar – Door and Café
Stew Maclennan – Production Winemaker
Andrew Lasenby – Operations Manager
Wout Kalis – Transport Logistics
Bruce and Bridget Crawford – Cellar Door

A total of 12 awards were presented by Saint Clair family members as the evening progressed in between a three course fine dining experience matched with award winning Saint Clair library wines.

The Ibbotson family are proud of the cohesive team at Saint Clair. It is the dedicated team approach across all facets of the business that has made Saint Clair the success it is today.
