The gold is flowing at Saint Clair Family Estate with recent prestigious New Zealand wine awards releasing their results. The first results in were from the 20th Aotearoa Regional Wine Competition, sponsored by The George Hotel with Saint Clair shining all the way.
The Aotearoa Regional Wine Competition (ARWC) is open to all wines produced in New Zealand as well as internationally. All winners will be showcased in the highly popular Food and Wine Pavilion at The New Zealand Agricultural Show.
The following Saint Clair wines achieved gold medal status:
Gold- Saint Clair 2022 Pioneer Block 1 Sauvignon Blanc
Gold- Saint Clair 2022 Pioneer Block 3 Sauvignon Blanc
Gold - Saint Clair 2020 Origin Chardonnay
Gold - Saint Clair 2020 James Sinclair Chardonnay
Gold - Saint Clair 2020 Pioneer Block 5 Pinot Noir
Gold – Saint Clair 2020 Pioneer Block 15 Pinot Noir
To top off this winning success the Saint Clair Pioneer Block 6 Sauvignon Blanc was judged as the best Sauvignon Blanc of the competition being awarded Best in Class rating!
Not long after this announcement the National Wine Awards of Aotearoa NZ 2022 also released their medal winners and again Saint Clair shines with gold.

Emerging from the Royal Easter Show, these new national wine awards are recognising, identifying and celebrating excellence in New Zealand Wine. The wines were judged from 20-22 September by an impressive line-up of high calibre judges, being led by Jane cooper and Olly Masters as Deputy Chair. MW Meg Brodtmann joined the judging team as an international guest judge.
Trophy winners will be announced at our long lunch Celebration of Excellence on Sunday 6 November at the Hilton Hotel, Auckland.
Saint Clair prides itself in excellence and this display of gold across varietals and price points is a clear reflection of a tremendously high standard. A credit to the family-owned Marlborough winery.
