Saint Clair Family Estate Wins Major Award at Sydney International Wine Competition

Presentations of the 2014 Sydney International Wine Competition winners took place on Saturday 8th March at the Grand Ballroom at the Shangri-La Hotel in Sydney. Saint Clair Family Estate were thrilled to receive The Wine Society Perpetual Trophy for the Most Successful Entrant of Competition. This is the second time that Saint Clair has received this award.

Presentations of the 2014 Sydney International Wine Competition winners took place on Saturday 8th March at the Grand Ballroom at the Shangri-La Hotel in Sydney. Saint Clair Family Estate were thrilled to receive The Wine Society Perpetual Trophy for the Most Successful Entrant of Competition. This is the second time that Saint Clair has received this award.
 
Saint Clair Family members Tony and Kate Ibbotson were at the prestigious affair to receive the award. Tony comments; “it is a thrill to be able to receive this award on behalf of the team at Saint Clair Family Estate. It is a tribute to my parents Neal and Judy Ibbotson who have created a brand that is focused on quality vineyards and quality winemaking with a cohesive team approach.”
 
This award comes following announcement of the New Zealand Easter Show awards where Saint Clair has received an astounding six gold medals across a range of varietals and price points.
The following wines were awarded gold medals;
Gold Medal – Saint Clair Pioneer Block 12 Lone Gum Gewürztraminer 2013
Gold Medal – Saint Clair Pioneer Block 18 Snap block Sauvignon Blanc 2013
Gold Medal – Saint Clair Pioneer Block 2 Swamp Block Sauvignon Blanc 2013
Gold Medal – Saint Clair Vicar’s Choice Sauvignon Blanc 2013
Gold Medal – Saint Clair Pioneer Block 14 Doctor’s Creek Pinot Noir 2012
Gold Medal – Saint Clair Pioneer Block 22 Barn Block Pinot Noir 2012
 
Another international wine competition – Mundus Vini 2014 also awarded Saint Clair’s quality with the following gold awards;
Grosses Gold  – Saint Clair Premium Sauvignon Blanc 2013 = Mundus Vini 2014 – 
Gold – Saint Clair Pioneer Block 1 Foundation Sauvignon Blanc 2013
Gold – Saint Clair Wairau Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2013
